Paolo Nutini es un escocesito de 22 años que comenzó su carrera musical cuando cumplio la mayoría de edad. Este single: Pencil Full of Lead constituye el tercero de su segundo albúm de estudio, Sunny Side Up, con el que ha llegado a un gran número 17 de la lista de singles en el Reino Unido.
El apartado visual de este último video-clip que les enseño este 2009 es impresionante. Paolo aparaece en escena como una versión en plastilina de si mismo, con las cualidades de la plastilina en su estado puro. La animación corrió a cargo de Mark Waring, quien ha trabajo muy recientemente en Fantastic Mr. Fox y anteriormente en La Novia Cadaver y la serie infantil Huxley Pig, que usó el programa Dragon Stop Motion para realizar la animación. La dirección fue cosa de Corin Hardy, quien este año también dirigió un video-clip realizado en stop motion para el grupo The Prodigy, el cual analizaré en breve.
